Jetty project starting earlier than planned. We had originally planned to start putting up the poles up for the refurbished scrubbing pad and north jetty on the springs of April the 16th, but this weekend (21st and 22nd of March) we want to make a start on this project. Please get hold of Rudi or the office if you would like to assist.

Next Wednesday, the 25th of March, a representative from the NSRI will be coming to the BYC for a presentation. We are not yet sure of all the details, but there will be a bring and braai afterwards.

On the last weekend of the month (Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th of March) DJ Steven Johnson will be playing us music for an end of month party from 6pm onwards on both evenings. Last month the Saturday night event went on until midnight and a good time was had by all.

Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday the 4th of April. Not sure of the time yet, but the Easter Egg hunt for the youngsters is being planned for Saturday the 4th of April. We will also be doing a lunch special at the Galley – details will be updated here and on Facebook and on the weekly email.

11th and 12th of April. Certificate of Fitness and Bay Registration push. Larry, our commodore of keel-boaters, would like to ensure that a maximum of boats are ready to go sailing this year, and that we are all compliant with our paperwork requirements. To this end we have tentatively designated the weekend of the 11th and 12th of April to make a push to get our COF and Bay Registration forms filled out. Please contact Larry or the office about this.

16th of April. Jetty refurbishment. We would like to have a work party for the springs around the 16th of April (this is midweek but details will come clearer closer to the time) for the jetty refurbishment project. Many hands make light work and also make for a festive occasion. Rudi is managing this project. The jetty and scrubbing pad will not be available while this is going on.

Hard Parking vacant plots. We now have a number of empty spots on the hard parking for catamarans and other boats that need to come out and get work done to them. As far as I am aware the BYC is still one of the most affordable places to get this done. Contact the office for details and enquiries.

Bar closed on Thursdays. Until further notice the Wheelhouse will not be opening on Thursdays. Beer and wine will still be available at the Galley during Galley hours.
